The Utah Simulation Coalition (USC) is an inter-professional simulation resource community whose mission is to promote safe, knowledgeable and effective patient care by demonstrating and reinforcing the highest level of simulation performance in operations, technical support, education, and practice.

According to the Society for Simulation in Healthcare,
“Simulation is the imitation or representation of one act or system by another. Healthcare simulations can be said to have four main purposes: education, assessment, research and health system integration in facilitating patient safety”.
The Utah Simulation Coalition resonates with this definition and focuses primarily on educating academicians on simulation.
